YOU’RE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE “SHARING THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS” PARADE 2007
Yes, it is that time of year again! The Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December, 1st. To again guarantee a truly fabulous Christmas parade, everyone’s participation is invited by either having an entry in the parade or by being a spectator.

School groups, church groups, civic organizations, bands and music groups are invited to enter this parade. Over $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the first three places in three separate divisions- Church/Religious Division; Clubs/Civic Organizations; and Commercial Division. The Rotary Christmas Parade offers your organization an excellent way to have some Christmas fun
and maybe raise some money at the same time. First place in each division will pay $150. The theme of the parade will be “Sharing the Joy of Christmas.” (Please remember: THERE IS TO BE ONLY ONE SANTA IN THE PARADE, WHICH WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE ROTARY CLUB.)

The Rotary Christmas Parade chairman again this year is Donna Poston. Please enter your group by mail or by calling the Chamber of Commerce office (753-5171). Mailed entries can be sent to “Rotary Club Christmas Parade, c/o Donna Poston, P.O. Box 411, Murray, KY 42071." Please leave a name, address and phone number of a contact person along with a description of your group
entry. These descriptions will be used on the radio during live coverage on parade day.
As in years past, entrants will line up at 9:00am, Saturday, on North 10th Street from Main to Chestnut and proceed downtown. The parade will begin at 10:00am.We look forward to a great Christmas Parade again this year, so come out and show your support for our community.
